Surf And Nearshore Dynamics Camera (SANDCAM) At Rehoboth and Bethany

Purpose:
To explore the possibilities of video based remote sensing for
quantifying beach and surfzone dynamics. More specifically, the Rehoboth Beach Cameras are focused
on the shoreline response to beach nourishment and analysis of spatial and temporal variation in
sediment transport. The primary focus of the Bethany Beach Cameras are obtaining accurate estimations
of the bottom morphology daily and extracting information about rip current flows from the video imagery.
